Whole Foods Shoplifter Has Drug Paraphernalia

SATURDAY, MARCH 16

Warrant Arrests

Edison M. Jarrin, 30, of the 500 block of William in River Forest, was booked on two active warrants for his arrest when an officer saw him at 2:40 a.m. in the 8200 block of Lake Street. The warrants are for property damage and battery charges, police said.

Car Burglary, Credit Fraud

Someone stole a purse from an unlocked car in the 0-100 block of Park Avenue and made several purchases in Maywood and Forest Park with the stolen credit cards inside the purse. There was also $150 taken. Police said the burglary occurred between 2 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. March 14. 

Attempted Burglary

A woman called police after seeing two men enter her unlocked car in the 600 block of Edgewood at 9:05 p.m. She chased them while calling police, and they were last seen running onto the train tracks behind the 8200 block of Lake Street. No loss was reported.

THURSDAY, MARCH 14

Drug Paraphernalia

Cameron T. Drake, 19, of the 8000 block of W. Lake Street in River Forest, was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to Whole Foods in reference to a shoplifter. Police said they searched Drake and found trace amounts of marijuana in a grinder box and a two-inch pipe. Whole Foods declined to press charges for retail theft.
