Woman Robbed at Gunpoint on Austin

The man, who was wearing a ski mask, made off with $15, police say.

A man wearing a ski mask approached a woman from behind and then robbed her at gunpoint, according to Oak Park Police.

The man, who was also wearing a dark coat, dark jeans and gloves, ordered the woman to walk between two buildings. He then showed a silver handgun and took the woman's money, which totaled $15, police said.

The incident took place in the 1400 block of Austin Blvd. at about 4:45 a.m. The man is described as an 18- to -20-year-old black man, 6-feet tall, with a thin build and dreadlocks.
