Candidates Fair

The League of Women Voters of Oak Park and River Forest will host a candidates fair for the public to meet local candidates in the run up to the primary election on March 20.

Jim Nally, noted election lawyer, will talk about the election of judges.  What are the different levels of state courts?  How are judges appointed?  What is retention?  Get information and your questions answered at this event.

7th U.S. Congressional District candidates (Rep. Danny Davis and Jacques Conway) and 78th Illinois House District candidates (Rep. Camille Lilly and Michael Nardello) will be in attendance.

3:20-3:40 pm Candidates Statements - 5 minutes each

3:40-3:55 pm  Meet and Greet with the Candidates

Because of the recent redistricting changes, voters should recheck what Illinois House and Senate district they are in.  The following website has an interactive map under the Voters tab to check the new boundary lines: http://www.elections.il.gov/districtlocator/districtofficialsearchbyaddress.aspx

Please note: While all judicial candidates have been invited to the candidate fair, only the 7th U.S. Congressional District and 78th Illinois House District candidates will be making statements.
