Oak Park Selects Firm, Search For New Manager Underway

Village board OKs the hiring of Georgia-based firm to begin search for new village manager.

The search is on. 

The Oak Park Village Board has approved a search firm, Slavin Management Consultants, to find Oak Park's next village manager, Wednesday Journal reports

The Georgia-based agency, which bills itself as the "nation's premiere governmental consulting firm," was chosen for its three decades of experience and national reach.

Among the firm's most notable recent placements was the 2010 hiring of Alexender Clifford to Metra, the rail agency beleagured by scandal after the suicide of former director Phil Pagano. 

According to WJ, the village and Slavin will iron out the details of the contract this week and approved at the next Oak Park Village Board meeting.
