Dominican presents "The Art of Dining"

River Forest, IL — Dominican University’s Performing Arts Center will host three performances of “The Art of Dining” by Obie and Critic’s Circle award-winning playwright Tina Howe.

The performances will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, February 24 and Saturday, February 25 with a 3 p.m. matinee on Sunday, February 26, in the Martin Recital Hall on Dominican’s Main Campus, 7900 Division Street, River Forest.

“The Art of Dining” is a showcase of the often bizarre psychology of food, following three groups of characters in a newly opened New Jersey restaurant. The play artfully unwraps the stories of its characters through the acts of cooking and dining.

Called a "spicy compote of social satire, slapstick zaniness, sight gags and the funniest play I've seen in a long time" by the Village Voice, the play serves as a hilarious and delicious example of how not to act and what not to talk about while dining.

General Admission tickets are $15. Student tickets are $5. Free on-campus parking for the event is available.
