Senior Driving Course at Gottlieb

Gottlieb Memorial Hospital, 701 W. North Ave, Melrose Park, will again offer the popular AARP Safe Driving Program on Thursday, November 17 and Friday, November 18 in the Gottlieb Professional Office Building, on the lower level.

Everyone age 50 and older is invited to come brush up on their driving skills.

More than 9 million Americans have graduated from the AARP driving program and about 1 percent  join an AARP driving program every year.

"Age-related changes in vision, hearing and reaction time hapen to many of us and they directly impact our driving ability," said Dorothy Bourgeois, manager, Gottlieb Geriatric Behavioral Health Unit. "80 percent of the AARP course graduates report that taking the course has resulted in a positive change in their driving behavior."
