It's the annual rite of fall and this weekend Oak Park and River Forest High School will be thick with it.
It's homecoming and plenty of things to do will be on the card for the entire community Oct. 11 to 13, at the campus, 201 Scoville Ave.
The festivities kick off 4:30 p.m. with a varsity boys’ soccer match vs. Nazareth Academy in the stadium. Live music and food will be happening from 5 to 6:30 p.m. with a party on the mall. Junior and senior girls will mix it up in a powder puff football match at 6:30, with an awards ceremony at 7:30 p.m.
The 4-2 Huskies will take to the field at 7:30 p.m. in its homecoming game against Morton. The homecoming court will be introduced during halftime.
On Saturday alumni can take tours of the campus from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and other sporting events will take place throughout the day. The classes of 1952, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1992 and 1997 will be welcomed back to campus.
