OPRF Asks Community to Help Set Direction

Survey, focus groups to assess feelings, concerns about high school.

Residents have the chance to help set the direction of Oak Park and River Forest High School.

A community survey will allow participants to tell officials what they like and don't like at the high school; they can also say what they would like to see changed at the OPRF.

A postcard will be coming to households with information on how to take the community survey. Each has a unique access code, so once a resident gets the postcard they can take the poll online, district officials said.

Deadline for completing the survey is Nov. 12.

In addition residents can attend a focus group to address the district's long-term priorities. Sessions are set for:

  • Saturday, Nov. 17, 10:00 - 11:30 a.m.
  • Monday, Nov. 19, 5:00 - 6:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, Dec. 1, 10:00 - 11:30 p.m.

Results of the surveys will be released later this fall. A final plan is expected to be approved by the school board this spring, district officials said.
