OPRF Launches Finance Committee

Oak Park and River Forest High School Finance Advisory Committee (FAC) to hold first meeting July 15.

Oak Park and River Forest High School next Monday will launch its new Finance Advisory Committee (FAC). Over the coming months, the FAC, whose 15 members include eight community residents, will focus on the following goals, according to a news release from Oak Park and River Forest High School:

  • Recommending the target range for the size of the total fund balance
  • Recommending expectations for an operating referendum
  • Recommending guidelines for future tax levies
  • Recommending communications strategies
  • Providing advice regarding continuation of the Finance Advisory Committee

The members of the committee are: 

  • Jeff Weissglass – Finance Advisory Committee Chair, OPRFHS Board Vice President
  • Tom Cofsky – OPRFHS Board Finance Committee Chair
  • Jackie Moore – OPRFHS Board Secretary, Board Policy Committee Chair
  • Steve Isoye – OPRFHS Superintendent
  • Tod Altenburg – OPRFHS Chief Financial Officer
  • Tina Halliman – OPRFHS Asst. Superintendent for Pupil Personnel Services
  • Sheila Hardin – OPRFHS Faculty Senate Chair
  • Judy Greffin –  Community Member
  • Penny Wallingford – Community Member
  • Karen Nyman Latham – Community Member
  • Christopher Meister – Community Member
  • David Pope – Community Member
  • Bob Spatz – Community Member
  • Peter Traczyk – Community Member
  • Louis Vitullo – Community Member

FAC meetings are open to the public. They also will be videotaped and posted on the District website (www.oprfhs.org)
