Who's Retiring in District 200 This Year?

Eleven teachers, administrators and employees of the Oak Park-River Forest High School district will retire after the 2012-2013 school year.

As Oak Park-River Forest High School students kick off their summer vacations, a few teachers, administrators and employees will retire, and kick off their permanent vacations. 

The 2013 retirees include:

  • James Goodfellow, dean, started in Aug. 26, 1986
  • Vanessa Hughes, speech pathologist, started Aug. 25, 1986
  • Marlene Rubinow, science teacher, started Aug. 27, 1993
  • Richard Thomphsen, history teacher, started Aug. 25, 1986
  • Iris Edgecombe, administrative assistant (in the superintendent's office), started Oct. 28, 2002 (retirement was Dec. 21, 2012)
  • Samuel Carson, director of security, started Sept. 14, 1981
  • Gloria Cullotta, counselor's secretary, started Aug. 23, 1987
  • Donna Diederich, buildings and grounds/athletic secretary, started Nov. 4, 1993
  • Gloria Haynes, assistant athletic equipment manager, started Aug. 14, 1995
  • Patricia O'Shea, administrative assistant for operations, started Aug. 24, 1988
  • Marlene Segal, library clerk, started Jan. 3, 1994
