Hamburger Mary's, Brewing Company Coming to Oak Park
Hamburger Mary's, a 40-year-old international restaurant brand, is looking to open an Oak Park location with a focus on its in-house beer brewing next year. Owner Ashley Wright said he is conducting due diligence on a property in the village, but did not disclose the exact location.  

Papaspiros Plans Dec. 1 Opening in Former Velvet Rope Space
Papapiros Agora, a new version of Oak Park Greek eatery Papaspiros will open at its new location at 728 Lake St. Dec. 1, according to the restaurant's website. The restaurant moved from its former location across the street at 733 Lake St. to the space formerly occupied by the Velvet Rope Ultra Lounge, which was destroyed by a fire last year. 

Marion Street Cheese Market, Sen Sushi Among Michelin's 2014 Bib Gourmands
Oak Park restaurants Sen Sushi Bar and Marion Street Cheese Market have received Michelin recognition for their quality and reasonably-priced fare in the annual list of Chicago's Bib Gourmand restaurants, Michelin announced Thursday. 

Unsold Dominick's Stores to Close Dec. 28: Report

Lou Malnati's is hiring for all positions at its new location in downtown Oak Park. 

PopUp Holiday Shop to Open Next Week in Oak Park
The Pop Up Holiday Shop opened Nov. 15 at 1000 Lake St. in downtown Oak Park for the holiday shopping season. Items for sale will include anything from embellished furniture and original paintings to jewelry, ornaments, vintage apparel and functional glass. Shop offerings include gift wrapping, weekend workshops for kids and BYOB glass ornament classes for adults. 

'Out of the Box' Holiday Art Market to Open Nov. 29 in Oak Park 
The 11th Annual Out of the Box Art Market will kick off four weekends in Oak Park on Black Friday, Nov. 29, featuring local artists' work during the holiday shopping season at 109 N. Oak Park Ave. The market will feature more than 30 artists, with items ranging from fiber art and photography to jewelry, pottery, painting and gourmet foods. 

Village Considers $50K Incentive to Keep Business in Oak Park

Midtown Athletic Club Plans Major Renovations
Midtown Athletic Club in Oak Park is kicking off a $250,000 transformation of the club this month to incorporate a new layout, expanded programming and training options, and advanced equipment and flooring that hasn't yet been introduced in the United States, according to a news release from Midtown Athletic Club.
