PopUp Holiday Shop to Open Next Week in Oak Park

After a successful June showing in Oak Park, Pop Up by Design coordinators Jacqui Ross and Bryan Northup are planning the Nov. 15 opening of a new pop-up shop featuring a new group of local artists for the holiday shopping season.
 
The Pop Up Holiday Shop will open Nov. 15 in the shops at 1000 Lake St. in downtown Oak Park and remain open on Thursdays through Sundays from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m., with two extra last minute shopping days through Dec. 24. 

The new space will be "transformed into a vibrant holiday shopping spot full of thoughtful handmade, one-of-a-kind gifts that are locally made," according to the Pop Up by Design website.  

Items for sale will include anything from embellished furniture and original paintings to jewelry, ornaments, vintage apparel and functional glass.

• A prize package of donated art items will be raffled off and ticket sales will benefit a local charity

• Weekend workshops for kids

• Festive holiday Face painting – $2. Saturdays 10-11am
• Decorate a special cookie for Santa - $5. For 2 cookies, Saturdays 2-3pm
• Paper Mosaic Ornament – $10. Each ornament, Sundays 1-2pm
