2013 Fenwick Football Schedule Released

Fenwick's 2013 football season begins at home vs. St. Joseph, then moves to Texas for a cross-country game. Check out the rest of the Friars' schedule here.

Switching from August to September is always bittersweet, because while it means an end to summer it also signals the start of the best season: football.

The IHSA released Fenwick's 2013 football schedule, and it begins at home Aug. 31 against St. Joseph, a 1-8 team in 2012.

Fenwick then travels to Texas to take on Bishop Lynch High School. The rest of the non-conference schedule is also tough, with a visit to Brother Rice (7-6) and a home game against Providence Catholic (8-3).

The latter game is Fenwick's Homecoming, which will be at 1:30 p.m. Oct. 12. Last season, Fenwick finished 8-4, losing to Boylan Catholic in the second round of the Class 7A playoffs.

The complete schedule is below. The teams' 2012 records are in parentheses.
