Ellis Coleman, the Flying Squirrel, is Accepting Donations

With his new website, OPRF alum and standout wrestler will document his bid for gold in the 2012 Olympic games.

Ellis Coleman, he of "Flying Squirrel" fame, has created a new website where he'll document his quest to wrestle for a gold medal in the 2012 Olympic games. 

"My name is Ellis Coleman," he writes, "You might know me as The Flying Squirrel kid. Now you’ll get to know me as the 2012 London Olympian in Greco-Roman Wrestling at 60 kgs for the United States."

Coleman, 20 and a 2009 Oak Park-River Forest High School graduate, bested wrestler Joe Betterman in the U.S. Olympic Trials, held in Iowa City last month, to earn a spot on the Olympic squad. 

His website will be a repository for photos, news articles and donations to the Ellis Coleman Fund, which will "support his Olympic Dreams."

According to the site, "all donations are tax-deductible through a 501(c) non-profit and will be made through the Huskie Booster Club."
