5th Annual Martin Luther King Health Challenge

The 5th Annual Martin Luther King Health Challenge, an event co-sponsored by the Oak Park Elementary District 97 Multicultural Education Department, Representative. LaShawn Ford, and various community agencies in the Chicago Metropolitan area is being held on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Christ the King Prep High School at 5088 W. Jackson in Chicago. This is a free event for all children in Kindergarten through 8th grade, as well as their parents and other adult family members. Join in celebration of Dr. King's legacy.  The event celebrates the historic efforts led by Dr. King and others for equality and justice for all; provides time for working and playing together in cooperation; emphasizes the importance of being active and eating healthy; and services those in need.

There will be prizes, T-shirts and a nutritious lunch.

There is no cost to participate.
