Derby Lite and OPRF Food Pantry Team Up for the Great Oak Park CupQuake of 2011

If you are a Baker, we want you to bring your best cupcake for some heated competition. It doesn’t matter if you are a pro or just a weekend cupcake warrior, it’s time to prove you’ve got the best treats in town. So get things heated up and enter one or more cupcakes in one of three categories:

•Red Velvet
•Specialty Flavor
•Vegan and/or Gluten Free

If you can’t bake, but know what a great cupcake should taste like, then we need you to come out and judge the winners on Saturday, June 4th from 7 to 9 p.m. at the ARC building, 18 Chicago Ave., Oak Park.

Someday you will be able to tell your grandchildren you helped crown “The Best Cupcake of Them All.” Anyone 6 and older can register to be a judge for a $10 dollar donation that will benefit the Oak Park/ River Forest Food Pantry. Each dollar of your donation buys $11 dollars worth of food.

And of course, whether you are a Baker, Judge or someone just hanging around for some crumbs, be sure to bring some canned or dried food items to donate the OPRF Food Pantry.
