Oak Park River Forest Football Wins Season Opener, 55-8

The Huskies started strong with a 42-2 lead at half against Fenger in Chicago.

The Oak Park and River Forest High School Huskies defeated Chicago's Fenger High School 55-8 Saturday in their season opener. 

The Huskies started strong, scoring 35 points in the first quarter and leading 42-2 at halftime, according to MaxPreps.

OPRFHS will host its first home game of the season 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6 against Franklin Park-Northlake (Leyden), which lost its season opener 28-14 to Buffalo Grove.
