OPRF Girls Golf Wins Regionals, Headed to Sectionals Oct. 14
Huskies' 363 takes team to sectionals next week.
The Oak Park and River Forest High School girls golf team won their second consecutive regional championship Wednesday at the St. Ignatius Regional at Cog Hill, according to a post on the OPRF Huskie Booster Club Facebook page.
According to the post, the team scored a 363 on course 1. Scorers included senior Emma Youman with an 87; senior Mia Shapiro, 90; sophomore Amanda Youman, 92; and junior Elaine Houha, 94.
Other scores included Nicole Gagliardo, 100, and Katie Latham, 107.
Emma Youman was the fourth place medalist, followed by Mia Shapiro in fifth place. The girls will travel to Coyote Run to play in the Marion Catholic Sectional on Monday, Oct. 14.
