OPRF Posts First Loss to Glenbard West, 20-14

Oak Park and River Forest High School football falls to Glenbard West, 20-14.

The Oak Park and River Forest High School football team lost for the first time this season only six points behind defending state champion Glenbard West, the Daily Herald reports.

Down 20-14 with 4:18 left to play in the fourth quarter, the No. 15 Huskies had just 42 yards to score on the No. 5 Hilltoppers. West locked down the 20-14 win when their defense intercepted a pass to OPRF running back Mike Hayden on a fourth-and-14 play at West's 23-yard line, according to the Herald.
OPRF (5-1, 3-1) scored first at the end of the first quarter, and finished the first half down 14-7, according to the Chicago Tribune. OPRF coach John Hoerster told the Tribune he was proud of how the Huskies played, and that he hopes the players understand there are "great things to come."
