Soccer: OPRF Boys to Face Benet Academy in Regional Final

The Oak Park and River Forest High School boys soccer team will advance to the IHSA Class 3A Hinsdale South Regional final after a 1-0 win against Proviso East on Tuesday. 

The Huskies, seeded sixth in the tournament, will play against No. 3 Benet Academy at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25.

The winner of the final will move on to play the winner of the Berwyn-Cicero (Morton) regional in a Sectional semifinal game at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29. The sectional final will be played Friday, Nov. 1. 

The Huskies (9-5-5), ended their season with last Thursday with a tie against Nazareth Academy. 

Benet Academy beat Hinsdale South 5-0 to advance to the finals.
