OPRF Volleyball Loses Thriller to St. Charles North
The Huskies fell in a tightly contested contest in the state quarterfinals.
The magical run by Oak Park-River Forest's boys volleyball team came to an end Friday night in the state quarterfinals.
St. Charles North topped the Huskies 25-22, 24-26, 27-25 and will face Downers Grove South in the semifinals.
The Huskies finish the season 20-19. St. Charles North is now 31-6.
OPRF Stats: Sam Rolfes led OPRF with 16 kills and two blocks. Ryan Ebersole had 15 kills, one ace and two blocks. Jared Benard added 13 kills. Ben Miller led with 18 digs, and Levi Algozino had 42 assists.
St. Charles North Stats: Jonathan Orech led with 15 kills, two aces and three blocks. Kevin Beach added 11 kills and two blocks. Pat Misiewicz had 38 assists, and Ryan Dal Degan led with 14 digs.
