River Forest District 90 Schools Earn Bright Red Apple Award 20th Year

District 90 Earns Educational Excellence Award 20th Year in a Row

River Forest School District 90 earned a 2013 Bright Red Apple Award for educational excellence, it's 20th in a row. It is one of only 78 Illinois school districts out of 866 honored by SchoolSearch, an educational research and consulting firm that publishes handbooks of school system rankings.

The five key factors the award is based on are Academic Performance, Pupil/Teacher Ratio, Expenditure Per Pupil, Educational Level of Teachers, and Average Teacher Salary.  The district first received the award in 1994.
