Village President Anan Abu-Taleb and Village Trustee Peter Barber Announce Third Public Forum

Village President Anan Abu-Taleb and Village Trustee Peter Barber invite Oak Park residents to attend the third community forum on Wednesday, December 11th from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the Veterans Room at the Main Library, 834 Lake Street. This meeting will focus on Oak Park’s economic future and how the Board can best drive growth and vitality.

“The Oak Park Village Board must do more to support economic growth in Oak Park,” said President Abu-Taleb. “By investing in the creativity and ingenuity of Oak Park’s families, we can attract new businesses, create jobs and build a better Oak Park.”

These public forums fulfill a campaign pledge made by President Abu-Taleb to increase transparency and promote dialogue directly with Villagers on the issues they care about most. Citizens’ proposals from previous forums have helped shape the Board’s agenda on issues including the Lake & Forest development, parking and tree planting.
