Holistic healing facility expands into Berwyn's Depot District

It’s never too early to start setting your New Year’s resolutions. For many, improved health is at the top of our wish lists especially as aches and pains can become more apparent with the arrival of winter weather. In the journey to optimize health, licensed health care systems such as naprapathy can greatly support personal efforts. Balance Body Therapy (balancebodytherapy.com), an Alternative and Complimentary Health Care facility, has expanded its operation into the Depot District at 3245 S. Grove Ave to help. The staff applies a holistic approach to improving physical health and overall wellness. The clinic held a ribbon cutting on November 7 in partnership with the City of Berwyn and the Berwyn Development Corporation (BDC).

Just what is naprapathy? Naprapathic Medicine is a very unique treatment style parallel to chiropractic care. Naprapathy is a non-invasive system of techniques that target connective tissues to help reduce pain in muscles, ligaments and joints and restore functionality. Naprapathy uses a combination of exercise therapy, stretching, manual manipulation and nutritional counseling. It differs from chiropractic as it can be a softer solution for spine and joint misalignments. These complementary techniques stimulate lymphatic and blood circulation and promote self-healing within the body.

Dr. Daniel Salgado, owner of Balance Body Therapy, explained, “Naprapaths originated within the osteopathic profession and have been practicing our unique medicine for as long as chiropractors. Naprapathy is a licensed practice in Illinois. We develop a plan for complete wellness by considering exercise, manual manipulation, and nutrition. My practice is about more than just pampering. We also offer laser acupuncture, massage therapy, and Mercier Therapy for reproductive health.”

Good luck to you and welcome to the Depot District.” Jon Fey, BDC Board President, continued, “You have a great location and a business founded in a great history. We wish you all the best.”

The clinic accepts insurance and offers affordable payment plans.
