River Forest School District 90
Founded in 1850, the River Forest Public Schools District 90 serves students in the village's 2.25 square miles.
Today, the district's educators and administrators are largely responsible for the education of more than 1,300 students in three local schools. School officials say District 90's students are high performers who score well on tests and are taught by quality faculty.
The district is governed by a seven-member Board of Education, who are responsible for creating, adopting and enforcing policies for the district's three schools.
The board meets twice monthly inside the Library Learning Center at Roosevelt Middle School, 7560 Oak Ave.
The board's education, personnel and finance committee meetings, as well as Committee of the Whole Meetings, take place on the first Tuesday of the month at 7pm. District business meetings take place the third Monday of the month and start at 7:30pm.
