"The Wishing Tree" is one of 5 yarn bombed trees along Lake St. between Park & Franklin in River Forest. Passersby can write and hang their wishes in the breeze. Charles White was architect for this 1930s WPA project Art Deco building. Oak Park has many wonderful WPA works: murals in schools, restrooms in parks. FLLW's Unity Temple is directly east, but he did not work in Oak Park in 30s. Great photo, though of one of OP's Art Deco beauties (Lake Theatre and Wieboldt's were other examples) RKadlec
