Police: Senior Citizen Beaten With Chair at Long John Silver
Police said Jessie Jackson Jr. (no relation to Congressman) appeared to be drunk when he hit a man trying to come to his aid with a chair.
A 40-year-old man from Oak Park stands accused of aggravated battery to a 74-year old Chicago man who was trying to come to his aid inside of a Forest Park restaurant on Oct. 31, police said. Jessie Jackson Jr. (no relation to the Congressman) was charged with one count each of aggravated battery to a senior citizen and battery for striking the man with a chair at Long John Silver, 123 Harlem Ave., police said. Jackson was booked on Nov. 2 and remains in Cook County Jail in lieu of posting a $250,000 bond. He is due to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 8, according to the Cook County Sheriff's Dept.
