Drawing Stolen From Concordia Gallery
Chicago artist's sketch swiped from university's gallery.
Chicago artist George C. Clark has created hundreds of works of art since his parents bought him paper and pencils as a little boy. None of them have ever been stolen. "I'm bummed by this experience," Clark, 66, said from his home on the city's northwest side. "But I'm kind of bizarrely flattered." Clark's framed ink-on-paper drawing, Birds of Prey, was swiped from Concordia University's Ferguson Art Gallery sometime between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Friday, according to police reports.
