Update, Thursday, 2:40 p.m. Police in Oak Park are shooting down allegations made in an Eater.com post that say the victim was badly beaten and strangled during Monday's robbery. Cmdr. LaDon Reynolds reiterated what police and village officials originally reported, that the victim "received minor injuries as a result of physical interaction with the offender." Citing the ongoing investigation, Reynolds wouldn't specify the nature of the "physical interaction." Police have said the victim, 22, was taken to a local hospital after the attack. She was later interviewed at length about the incident, police said.
