Oak Park trustees finally made a selection as to who will take over as village manager at a board of trustees meeting on Monday night, the Wednesday Journal reports. Cara Pavlicek was selected to take over the position. She has served as interim village manager since the resignation of former Village Manager Tom Barwin in February 2012. Previously, Pavlicek served as Oak Park's interim parking services manager. The announcement ends a national search that took nine months.

I really like the idea of having employees park in the garages but maybe have a discount for them. Honestly, I don't like parking in garages because it is secluded and Oak Park is no stranger to crimes. I rather have easy access to the street and the grounds parking lots.   more ›
