Two Held without Bond in 2005 Murder of Cicero Woman

Nayely Murry's slaying went unsolved for seven years.

Two men are being held without bond in connection with the slaying of a 23-year-old Cicero woman who who was strangled, suffocated and left inside of a truck of a car in the summer of 2005, the Cook County Sheriff's Office announced last week. Charged with murder are James Murry, 35, the estranged husband of the victim, Nayely Murry, and a friend, Travon McDonald, 29, according to the Sheriff's Office. Cook County law enforcement and Cicero police arrested Murry at his home in Toledo, OH. He waived extradition. Murry he appeared in bond court late last week. Third Suspect Charged with Attempted Murder for Attack at Ultra Foods Lot

Carol Mix, picked up late last month in Iowa, also charged with aggravated battery to a senior.

The last suspect in the severe beating of a senior citizen outside of Ultra Foods last year has been charged with attempted murder and battery to a senior citizen, Forest Park police said Monday. Carol Mix, 62, of Maywood, will appear for a hearing at 9 a.m. Tuesday in Maybrook Court. Bail has been set at $50,000. According to police, Mix first fled to Iowa and then Wisconsin and back to Iowa where she had been arrested in Waterloo in early November and held in Blackhawk County Jail.
