OPRF Senior Wins Martin Luther King Jr. Oratory Contest for Second Year

For the second consecutive year, Anthony Moaton will deliver the winning entry during the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Assembly Friday, Jan. 18. The 34th Annual Oration Contest winner's speech will be shared with students during the 8:45 and 9:40 a.m. assemblies at Oak Park and River Forest High School, 201 N. Scoville Ave. Moaton's entry in the contest was centered around the contest's theme, "Moving Forward," and details, sometimes humorously, the lessons he's learned about how to move forward in life. Also for the second straight year, the high school and The Oak Park Regional Housing Center are partnering to sponsor the contest.
