Ellis Coleman Slams Matt Lauer
The Flying Squirrel gives Today Show host a dose of painful Olympic reality.
As consolation prizes go, taking a famous TV host by surprise, flinging him in the air and threatening to drop him on the ground head first as he whimpers isn't bad. That's right, our hometown hero Ellis Coleman made a cameo on NBC's The Today Show alongside fellow USA wrestler Dremier Byers. In part of the segment, which aired Wednesday, host Matt Lauer asks Coleman, 20, why he's called "The Flying Squirrel." Seemingly before the question can be finished, Lauer's hanging upside down in Coleman's clutches. The entire clip can be viewed at The Today Show's website.
