Oak Park Police Seize Heroin, Cocaine in Unrelated Drug Arrests

All three incidents took place over a 24-hour period; one arrest took place in Forest Park.

Three men have been charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance in three unrelated drug arrests over less than 24 hours on Dec. 27, Oak Park police said Friday. Two of the arrests came after traffic stops on Austin Boulevard and South Harlem Avenue. A third came after a citizen alerted an officer about suspicious activity outside of a bathroom at a gas station at Austin Boulevard Harrison Street. Addison, 50, of Chicago was charged with possession of a controlled substance after police brought him for what later became an unfounded charge of possession of a stolen vehicle, police said. Berwyn Teen Charged with Possessing, Altering Revolver

Police apprehend Michael Henry after a brief foot chase, find loaded gun and marijuana.

Three felony gun charges were leveled Oct. 13 against an 18-year-old from Berwyn who dropped a bag containing a loaded .32 caliber revolver with scratched out serial numbers during a foot chase with police, authorities said. Police spotted the teenager, identified as Michael R. Henry, riding his bicycle, without a headlight, around 12:30 a.m. in the 900 block of South Lombard Avenue and attempted to stop him. Henry dropped the bicycle, threw down his backpack and took off when he saw police. A very brief foot chase ensued and when they caught up with him, officers noticed he did not have the pack they saw on him initially; it was found near the spot where the chase began.
