We spotted a film crew using Randolph Street Barber Shop as a location on Thursday for an herbicide commercial that will air in North Dakota. Go figure.
A Naperville-based marketing company was in town on Thursday shooting a commercial that will air in western markets for a Bayer brand crop herbicide. We snapped a picture of the crew setting up at Randolph Street Barber Shop, 201 Marengo Ave., today around 11:30 a.m. According to Jim Meyers, creative director at Rhea and Kaiser, the footage shot today will be used to promote Bayer's herbicides in Montana and North Dakota. "Yeah, wheat county," Meyers said. When finished, the commercial will feature the barbershop and a home in River Forest, but will be made to look like they were shot out west.
