River Forest Police Blotter: Gifts for Holiday Party Stolen at Concordia

The following information was supplied by the River Forest Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Traffic Arrest: Tonique A. Moore, 31, of Oak Park, was charged Dec. 2 with driving without a valid license after being involved in a non-injury accident, police said. She was arrested after she and the other driver came into the River Forest Police Department to report the incident. Traffic Arrest: Silvia Moreno, 34, of Elmwood Park, was charged Dec. 2 with driving without a license and driving without headlights or tail lights after she was stopped at 5:36 a.m. in the 7200 block of Circle Avenue in Forest Park, police said. Warrant Arrest: Michael A. Campbell, 29, of Lockport, was arrested Dec. 1 on an outstanding warrant out of Will County for possession of a controlled substance, police said. River Forest Crime Briefs: Arrests for Armed Robbery, Warrants and Theft of Booze

Illegal parking, a stalled startup and a phone's GPS system lead to arrests.

A look at some of the more interesting arrests around town. Parking Job Leads to Armed Robbery Arrest A blue pickup truck parked illegally in a southbound Harlem Avenue traffic lane turned out the be the getaway vehicle in an ongoing armed robbery, police said. The incident began when officers working traffic enforcement and seat belt duty at North and Harlem Avenues spotted the Ford pickup parked in the traffic lane in the wee hours of May 21. Soon after, police spotted man running away from the Shell Station at 7201 W. North Ave. and into the waiting truck. The man was later identified as 30-year-old Ramiro Forty of Elmwood Park.
