River Forest Teen Cited for New Year's Eve Party

Police reported finding over 300 beer cans at the home.

A New Year's Eve celebration at a home in River Forest was broken up around midnight, spoiling an underage drinking party. An officer on patrol reported that they saw two teens outside past curfew on Dec. 31 and stopped them. After talking with the teens, both 16 years old, they found that they had been drinking at a home in the 500 block of William. Police canvassed the area and eventually located a home with the doors open, but no one answering. When they checked the home, they reported finding over 300 beer cans in the basement. River Forest police were eventually able to make telephone contact with a 17-year-old River Forest resident that had hosted the party.
