ARREST WARRANTS: Wanted in Oak Park

There are warrants out for the arrest of a number of accused criminals in Oak Park. Patch highlights a few of them.

The following individuals are listed under the Cook County Warrants Search for the zip code 60302: Princeton Davis, 29, is wanted on an unlawful use of weapon charge. Bond was not set. His last known address was the 600 block of North Taylor in Oak Park. The warrant was issued Nov. 20, 2012. Prince Duncan, 69, is wanted on a theft charge. Bond was not set. His last known address was the 200 block of Washington in Oak Park. The warrant was issued May 20, 2002. Samuel Durand, 32, is wanted on a charge of endangering the life or health of a child. Bond was set at $50,000. His last known address was the 1100 block of North Humphrey in Oak Park. The warrant was issued Dec. 21, 2010. Howard Fields, 24, is wanted on a criminal trespass to land …

Police Break Car Window to Arrest Hood Ornament Thief: River Forest Police Blotter

River Forest police reports, Dec. 24-29.

SATURDAY, DEC. 29 Jeanette M. Conrad, 40, of Corydon, IN, was arrested and charged around 9 a.m. with driving with a suspended license, no insurance and no registration after police pulled over her vehicle near Chicago and William avenues for having expired registration. Police found that her Indiana driver's license was suspended and she was taken into custody. Conrad was later released after posting bond. $17,000 Loss Reported in Home Burglary: Oak Park Police Blotter

Oak Park police reports, Oct. 20-28.

SUNDAY, OCT. 28 An Oak Park resident reported that their vehicle was broken into and burglarized in the 600 block of Highland between 4:30 p.m. Oct. 27 and 7:18 a.m. Oct. 28. Someone broke the driver's side window and stole a dashboard radio. The loss was estimated at $170. Denny's, in the 700 block of north Harlem, reported that two women consumed food and then left the restaurant without paying at 2:45 a.m. The two left and entered a vehicle that was reported stolen in Chicago and fled in an unknown direction. Man Charged With Theft From Concordia University Weight Room

Robert Gardner, 19, is charged with stealing a Concordia student's backpack from a university weight room.

River Forest police announced today that they arrested and charged Robert Gardner, 19, of the 5400 block of west Congress Parkway in Chicago, for stealing a Concordia University student's backpack from a university weight room. The theft was reported to River Forest police at about 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 23. The student told police that the previous evening, he had left his track and field backpack in the university weight room and when he returned, the bag was missing. Police said that based on their initial investigation, and an examination of available evidence, they were able to identify Gardner as the one responsible for the theft. Rush Oak Park Hospital Employee Charged with Stealing $288K

Deborah Wilberding, 44, of Naperville, is charged with stealing nearly $300,000 from Rush Oak Park Hospital over six years.

Rush Oak Park Hospital's finance department was tipped off by an unnamed financial institution on Aug. 10, according to reporting by the Chicago Tribune. Deborah Willberding, 44, of Naperville, was placed on administrative leave as an audit of the hospital's records began, which later revealed that Willberding had stolen nearly $300,000 over six years, the hospital found. SUNDAY, OCT. 7 Staff at Mercy Hospital Emergency Room, 2525 S. Michigan Ave. in Chicago, contacted police in River Forest at about 8 p.m. after treating a patient who said they were sexually assaulted by a friend while in River Forest. Police said the case is still under investigation. Police arrested and later charged Christian T. Minaghan, 18, with domestic battery and two counts of resisting a peace officer at about midnight. Officers were responding to a report of a domestic dispute in Monroe Avenue. When they approached the home an occupant refused to open the door. Record Theft Scratched After Owner Confronts Thief

LPs returned after May 6 theft from Oak Park Records.

The owner of an Oak Park record store didn't panic when he noticed a stack of LPs has just been stolen from the racks on May 6. Instead, he gave chase and confronted the thief in an alley about a block from his store, Oak Park Records, 179 S. Oak Park Ave. "It was almost like a kid with his hand caught in a cookie jar," said Alan Heffelfinger. "He just kind of shrugged his shoulders, like 'Whatever you say.'" Heffelfinger said he simply demanded the man turn over the records, which he did before walking away. But the store owner wasn't satisfied just yet. "I said, 'What, you just give me records back and everything's cool? I'm just going to follow you and call the police.'" That's when the man, standing about 15 to 20 feet away from …
