Status Hearing Set for 3 Accused of 2011 Murder in River Forest

Ex-cop Devin Bickham Sr., his son Devin Ardell Bickham and Cardell Taylor to appear at Maybrook Courthouse on Oct. 11.

A status hearing is set for next week in the case of three men—one a former North Chicago police officer—who are accused of plotting and killing a 29-year-old Chicago woman in a River Forest parking lot in 2011. The hearing for Devin Bickham Sr., and his son Devin Ardell Bickham and Cardell Taylor is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 11 in Room 105 of the Cook County Courthouse in Maybrook. The judge will be Noreen Valena Love. It is uncertain if a trial date will be set at that time. The three are still being held without bond in Cook County Jail. Over 60 Campout in Priory Park for Zero Waste Campout

Campers enjoyed s'mores, campfire stories and music at Priory Park on Sept. 28 for the Zero Waste Campout.

65 people—about 25 families—turned out for an outdoor campout in Priory Park in River Forest on Friday evening to enjoy music under the stars, campfire stories and smores. "I think it was a really great turnout for the first year of the event," said Ross Roloff, a member of the River Forest Parks Foundation and organizer of the night's event. "You couldn't have asked for a better night." Skies were clear and the air just crisp enough for a perfect camping experience as fall approaches. Attendees got a late night snack and a complimentary breakfast, provided by Whole Foods. SUNDAY, JUNE 3 DUI Arrest Reynaldo Alicea, 46, of Chicago, was charged with drunken driving after a traffic stop near Division Street and Harlem Avenue, police said. He also was charged with disobeying a traffic control device, disobeying a traffic control signal and improper lane usage, police said. SATURDAY, JUNE 2 DUI/ Zero Tolerance Armando W. Lee, 18, of Oak Park, was charged with drunken driving/zero tolerance and a number of traffic offenses after a traffic stop at Randolph Street and Harlem Avenue in Forest Park, police said. He was also was charged with disobeying a stop sign, disobeying a red light, illegally transporting alcohol and driving a car without a license, police said.
