The Dailey Method Opens This Weekend in Oak Park

The Dailey Method kicks off opening weekend with open house from 12-3 p.m.

There's a new way to work your core in Oak Park—just head to the barre. 

The Dailey Method, 208 S. Marion St., will kick off its grand opening weekend with an open house from 12 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 and a ribbon cutting Friday, Oct. 18. 

The fitness studio offers classes that combine ballet barre work, core conditioning, stretching and orthopedic exercises. The company has been featured by SELF, InStyle, Allure and several other women's magazines for the Dailey Method's challenging, full-body workouts.

The business is owned and managed by Missy D’Alise, Holly Blakeley and Stefanie Schodrof in partnership with The Dailey Method, according to the company website. D'Alise, a sports enthusiast and tri-athlete with a competitive background in tennis, soccer, and platform tennis, has been teaching in La Grange since Fall 2011 and is currently training for Master teacher status.

Blakely has an insurance background and has been a student of The Dailey Method for over five years in Bucktown and La Grange. Schodrof formerly co-owned the La Grange studio and has been teaching since 2010. She has an MBA from Kellogg and leads the business aspects of the studio, according to the website.
