River Forest Resident, James E. Norman, Joins ESC Board of Directors

James E. Norman, a resident of River Forest, IL, has been elected to the Board of Directors of Executive Service Corps of Chicago.

Norman served as Vice President of Diversity and Community Involvement for Kraft Foods Group prior to his retirement earlier this year. He is currently engaged as a Human Resources and Diversity consultant for organizations seeking effective, innovative, and inclusive cultural change, leveraging his more than 30 years of experience with Kraft Foods. He began his career with Kraft in Operations Management and developed his management skills in Human Resources over the years, in and outside of Kraft Food's corporate headquarters in Northfield, IL. His previous positions include Director of Diversity for Kraft Foods North America, Senior Director of Human Resources for Kraft Foods Snacks & Cereal Business Unit, and Vice President of Diversity for Kraft Foods, Inc. 

Norman has also served as President of the Employment Management Association Foundation and Vice President-at-Large for the Employment Management Association. He served as the Advisory Council for the American Institute for Managing Diversity (AMID) and on the Board of Trustees for Morris Tomorrow. He received his Bachelors of Science in Psychology from Northwestern University.

As a member of ESC's Board of Directors, Norman will oversee a continuing period of strengthening of ESC's services and programs for nonprofits and public agencies in response to stress on the sector in the current economic climate. Norman's deep management experience and human resources expertise positions him to contribute greatly to ESC's development.
