What Are the Fees for Oak Park River Forest High School?

School fees vary by grade.

As students prepare for another school year, parents shell out a bit of cash for textbooks, new clothes, parking permits and any other fees that pop up.

Oak Park and River Forest High School students and parents have had since July 1 to pay their fees, and any unpaid fees can be paid online between Aug. 5 and Aug. 8.

All students pay a $320 instructional material fee, but a student's costs vary depending on their class.

Juniors are are the cheapest, with $35 due before school starts. Sophomores top the list, with $220 due in fees. Freshmen pay $50 and seniors pay $70, according to the OPRF website.

If your student drives, though, add $240 to the bill for a parking permit.

The Village of Oak Park will be selling student parking permits for $240 for the school year until Aug. 16. The permits are for spaces around the perimeter of South Field, the north side of Lake Street and three blocks on South Boulevard. Permits can be picked up Aug. 13-16 at the box office. Checks can be made out to Oak Park and River Forest High School.
