Oak Park Smoke Shop Could Lose Business License
North Avenue cigarette shop could lose license after selling cigarettes without proper tax stamps from Cook County, Oak Leaves reports.
Smokers Stop, a North Avenue tobacco shop accused of evading Cook County taxes, may lose its business license from the Village of Oak Park, according to an Oak Leaves report.
Oak Park Police Chief Rick Tanksley told Oak Leaves the license for the business is under review after police made three stings on the store for selling cigarettes without the proper tax stamps.
The business at 6319 North Ave. is also under review for causing a nuisance in the neighborhood.
