Pete's Fresh Market Eyeing Oak Park Dominick's

Oak Leaves reports that the Chicago South Side chain is considering the Lake St. location among another one or two Dominick's it might take over.

Pete's Fresh Market is considering buying Oak Park's soon-to-be shuttered Dominick'sOak Leaves is reporting. It's among two or three that the South Side store is looking at.

Oak Park's Dominick's is located at 259 Lake St. The stores' owner announced this fall that it would withdraw from the Chicago market. Mariano's is taking over 11 stores and Whole Foods has expressed interest in some, but the Oak Park store has not been on those lists.

Oak Leaves quotes Village President Anan Abu-Taleb confirming the possibility. A representative from Pete's Fresh Market says Pete's has not yet decided anything in terms of which, if any, stores it will take over.
