Learn Bead Embroidery

Bead Embroidery Class

If you like to sew and want a bit of a challenge, consider taking a Bead Embroidery class at Bead In Hand.  You will learn how to stitch around a cabochon or other focal piece glued onto Lacy's Stiff Stuff or Ultra Suede, and to deepen the bezel using peyote stitch.  Students will leave with the knowledge of how to add a pin back or bail and different techniques for finishing the edging.   Perfect for those who enjoy being a little more free-form, bead embroidery ranges from the very simple to the ornate.

Bead Embroidery classes are scheduled for Sunday, August 25, 1:00 - 4:00 pm, or Sunday, September 29, 1:00 - 4:00 pm.  The class fee is $30 and materials are extra.  Prerequisite:  Previous off-loom weaving experience and knowledge of peyote stitch is required.

Registration can be made over the phone with a credit card by calling 708-848-1761, with PayPal on our website www.beadinhand.com, or by coming into the shop at 145 Harrison Street, Oak Park, IL  60304.

Participating in a class provides the skills you need for continuing on your own.  You'll learn by doing, with the opportunity to ask questions and learn from those around you too.  Bead In Hand offers classes in basic stringing, earring design, wire work, off-loom weaving, and more.  Go to our Classes page on our website for details and more information, http://beadinhand.com/beading-classes.html.
