Woman Robbed on Oak Park Avenue

Two men approached a woman from behind in the 200 block of North Oak Park Avenue about 7:10 p.m. and took her purse out of her hand. They were last seen headed east on Erie. The total estimated loss is $350, police said. 

Man Arrested for Stealing in 2 Incidents

Henry Butler, 26, of Chicago, was arrested for stealing from a woman in the 400 block of South Austin Boulevard and for another theft incident in the 100 block of North Taylor Avenue. He was given an Oct. 18 court date and held on bond.

Invalid License Arrest

Police charged Robert Gardner, 20, with driving without a valid license about 1:40 a.m. in the 100 block of North Lombard Avenue. He was held on bond. 

Tuesday, October 15

Break-in on Cuyler

Someone broke into a home in the 300 block of South Cuyler Avenue between 8:30 a.m. and 3:45 p.m. and ransacked bedrooms and two offices. The estimated cost of damage is $1,000, police said. 

Windshield Broken

Someone broke the rear windshield of a car in the 1400 block of West Madison Street between 4 and 7 p.m. Police said the offender(s) used a BB-type projectile to break the glass. The estimated cost of damage is $800, police said. 

Dine and Dash at IHOP

A couple left without paying their $17 bill at IHOP on North Avenue about 4:15 p.m. They were last seen driving east on North Avenue in a black 2008 Nissan, police said. 

Break-in

Someone broke into a minivan in the 200 block of Iowa Avenue between 2 p.m Oct. 14 and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 15. No loss reported. 

Monday, October 14

Copper Pipe Stolen

Someone cut about 75 feet of copper pipe from the first floor of the parking garage in the 100 block of North Scoville Avenue between midnight Sept. 2 and 8 a.m. Oct. 14. 

Car Damage

Someone broke a window of a car in the 1000 block of Clarence Avenue between 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14 and 9:40 p.m. Oct. 15. The estimated cost of damage is $1,150.
