Cocaine Found in Car, Bonnie Brae Burglaries: Police Blotter

SUNDAY, JULY 7

Cocaine, Xanax, Marijuana Found in Car

Police charged Jason Guzman, 19, of the 700 block of Gunderson Avenue in Oak Park with marijuana possession and possession of a controlled substance around 3 a.m. in the 1500 block of Harlem Avenue. During a traffic stop for improper lighting, Guzman admitted to having marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the car, police said. Police later found Xanax and cocaine in the car, according to the report. His court date is pending.

SATURDAY, JULY 6

Bike Stolen

Someone stole a mountain bike from the rack outside Whole Foods Market, 7245 W. Lake St., around 7 p.m.

THURSDAY, JULY 4

Burglaries Reported on Bonnie Brae Street

  • Someone stole about $800 and an iPad from an unlocked home in the 1000 block of Bonnie Brae Street between July 3 and July 4. 
  • Someone stole $200 in Coach products from a home in the 1100 block of Bonnie Brae Street. 

Retail Theft Arrest

Molly Schneidwind, 20, of the 300 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Oak Park was arrested for stealing $225 in liquor, clothes, perfume and other merchandise from Whole Foods Market, 7245 W. Lake St. around 7:30 p.m. 

TUESDAY, JULY 2

Patio Furniture Stolen

Someone stole patio furniture from an office in the 7700 block of West Lake Street between June 28 and July 2. The total estimated loss is $100, police said.

Patio Furniture Stolen

Someone stole patio furniture from a business in the 7700 block of West Lake Street. The total estimated loss is $500.
