DUI, Controlled Substance Arrests Reported in Oak Park

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 1
DUI
Police charged Pedro Ramirez, 54, of Chicago, with driving under the influence of alcohol about 4:30 a.m. in the 7100 block of West North Avenue. He was processed and released on bond.
GPS Stolen From Car
Someone stole a GPS unit and $5 in coins from an unlocked Chevy in the 600 block of South Scoville Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 31 and 10 a.m. Sept. 1. The total estimated loss is $135, police said.

Bike Stolen
Someone stole a bike from an unlocked garage in the 1100 block of South Grove Avenue between 11 p.m. Aug. 31 and 6 a.m. Sept. 1. The total estimated loss is $100, police said.

Window Broken
Someone broke the driver’s side window of a Toyota parked in the 1100 block of Lyman Avenue between 10 p.m. Aug. 31 and 9:10 a.m. Sept. 1. The estimated cost of damage is $200, police said.
Car Ransacked
Someone ransacked the inside of an unlocked Honda Odyssey in the 300 block of South Lombard Avenue between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 31 and 1 p.m. Sept. 1. No loss reported.

DUI
Police charged Gusta Stampley, 36, of Broadview, with driving under the influence of alcohol about 3:45 a.m. in the 900 block of Jackson Boulevard. He was released on bond.
DUI
Police charged Gregory Gorski, 29, of Riverside, with driving under the influence of alcohol about 3 a.m. in the 100 block of North Austin Boulevard. He was released on bond.
DUI
Police charged Dafena Russell, 26, of Maywood, with driving under the influence of alcohol about 4:10 a.m. in the 300 block of Washington Boulevard. She was released on bond.
Controlled Substance Possession
Police charged George Hoskins, 38, of Chicago, with possession of a controlled substance during a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Mayfield Avenue about 4:45 p.m. He was processed and held on bond.
iPhone Stolen
Someone stole an iPhone from an unattended book bag in the 200 block of South Marion Street between 2 and 4 p.m. The total estimated loss is $370, police said.
FRIDAY, AUGUST 30
Man Attacked on Harlem
A man about 25 to 35, with brown hair and a muscular build, approached a Western Springs man from behind in the 100 block of North Harlem Avenue between about 10:30 and 10:45 p.m. and struck him in the face, police said.
$5 Stolen From Car
Someone stole $5 from an unlocked car in the 300 block of South Lombard Avenue between 2 p.m. Aug. 29 and 7:20 p.m. Aug. 30.
Battery Arrest
Police charged Kelvin Butler, 40, of Chicago, with a battery offense that occurred in the 200 block of Madison Street about 7:30 p.m. He was processed and released on bond.
Bikes Stolen
Someone stole two bikes from an open garage in the 1100 block of Lyman Avenue between 8:30 p.m. Aug. 29 and 6 a.m. Aug. 30. The total estimated loss is $250, police said.
Apartment Ransacked
Someone ransacked the inside of an apartment in the 100 block of South Austin Boulevard between 7 and 11:25 a.m. No loss reported.
Man Arrested for Retail Theft at Starbucks
Police charged Isaac Hood, 62, of Chicago, with retail theft at Starbucks about 12:15 a.m. He was processed and released on bond.
Backpack, Phone Stolen
Someone stole a backpack containing keys and a cell phone from the side of a building in the 200 block of North Scoville Avenue between 6 and 7 a.m. The total estimated loss is $170, police said.
TV, Game Console Stolen in Burglary
Someone pushed in the air conditioning unit of an apartment in the 100 block of South Austin Boulevard between 7 and 11:25 a.m. and stole a flat screen TV, an X-Box game console, a game controller and a DVD. The total estimated loss is $830, police said.
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 28
Burglary on Ridgeland
Someone pried open the window of a home in the 100 block of North Ridgeland Avenue between 6:50 a.m. and 4:50 p.m. and stole a backpack, cash and a laptop. The total estimated loss is $1,980, police said.
