Panhandler Charged With Beating Forest Park Man on State Street: Report

The Chicago man allegedly punched a 60-year-old Forest Park man in the face, then kicked him when he was down during an altercation on State Street.

A Chicago panhandler was ordered held on $30,000 bond Wednesday for an alleged beating of a 60-year-old Forest Park man on State Street Nov. 12, DNA Info reported Wednesday

According to the report, Martel Butler, 26, who was fighting with other panhandlers over turf across from Macy's on State, punched the man in the face and kicked him when he was down. He is being held on $30,000.
