Sunday, December 1

Power Washer, Chainsaw Stolen From Shed

Someone stole a power washer and a chainsaw from an unlocked shed in the 300 block of North Taylor Street between 2:30 and 2:50 a.m. The victim told police they saw a male get into a brown, or light-colored, Buick in the alley behind his home and drive west on Erie. The total estimated loss is $400, police said. 

Saturday, November 30

Rolex, Electronics Stolen in Burglary

Someone pushed open an unlocked window to break into a home in the 1000 block of Woodbine Avenue between 7:30 and 11:15 p.m. The offender ransacked the home and stole a bike, three laptops, an X-box 360, a Playstation 3, "Beats by Dre" headphones, a backpack, a Rolex watch, $200 and a debit card. The total estimated loss is $7,900, police said.

Break-in Reported at Photography Studio

Someone broke into Ebert Photography, 227 S. Marion St., through a window between noon and 11:05 p.m. No loss reported.  

Bikes Stolen

Someone stole two bikes from an unlocked garage in the 1100 block of South Scoville Avenue between 1:30 p.m. Nov. 29 and 10:30 a.m. Nov. 30. The total estimated loss is $450, police said. 

Car Part Stolen

Someone stole the catalytic converter from a 2003 Chevy Cavalier parked in a lot in the 1100 block of North Harlem Avenue between 8:15 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. The total estimated loss is $400, police said. 

iPhone Stolen at Denny's

Someone stole an iPhone from the public restroom at Denny's on Harlem Avenue between 12:55 and 1:10 a.m. The total estimated loss is $500, police said. 

Friday, November 29

$10,000 in Leather, Electronics and Jewelry Stolen in Burglary

Someone used a key to enter a home in the 100 block of Forest Avenue and stole two iPads, multiple leather coats, five shirts, gold jewelry and $5,000 in cash between 10 a.m. Nov. 28 and 3 p.m. Nov. 29. The total estimated loss is $10,000, police said. 

Car Part Stolen

Someone stole the catalytic converter from a 2002 Chevy Cavalier parked in a lot in the 600 block of Madison Street sometime between 9 p.m. Nov. 28 and 3:30 p.m. Nov. 29. The total estimated loss is $2,000, police said. 

Thursday, November 28

Break-in Reported on Le Moyne

Someone used a tool to force open the front door of a home in the 0-100 block of LeMoyne Avenue around 12:40 a.m. A witness told police they saw a male, wearing a black jacket with a white "Aeropostale" logo, running from the scene. 

$30 in Change Stolen From Car

Someone stole about $30 in change from an unlocked car in the 900 block of Belleforte Avenue between 8 p.m. Nov. 27 and 2:15 p.m. Nov. 28. The total estimated loss is $30, police said. 

Wednesday, November 27

Gun, Ammo Stolen in Burglary

Someone forced open the back door of a home in the 600 block of South Humphrey Avenue, ransacked a bedroom and stole a black semiautomatic handgun with a 12-round magazine, 12 rounds of ammunition, a black flashlight and a Yamaha keyboard. The keyboard was later found in an alley. The total estimated loss is $1,800, police said.
